Many comic book characters have first and last names that begin with the same sound. This is especially true of Superheroes or their supporting characters. It was a favorite tool of Stan Lee, since he often had trouble remember the character's names and alliteration worked as a mnemonic device.

This is often combined with Two First Names. In funny-animal comics, it often goes hand-in-hand with a "species surname" like "Donald Duck" and "Mickey Mouse".
